Easiest way to get the discus is to play rooms and build up a stock of ropes and bubbles, then banish the Snatchin diver and athlete. You will find that as long as you have a clover or turtle running they will drop lots of pieces for the Olympics collections and the discus will be one of them.

oh im glad we can get this via random drop too - as i got this quest yesterday and i dont have the spaceship yet and assumed id be screwed.
