FIXED - Do not charge the Chic on a beach collection! (yet...)

After using my last diamonds to buy Diver's mask (which unlocks at level 199, wtf!!) I could complete the Chic on a beach quest and charge the collection. I was happy, because I would get a silver sun and a turtle of fortune, two very powerful charms, especially when you combine them together.

I did get the Girl-animator, but no sun and no turtle. I contacted GI, but I got the standard reply, they are aware of the issue and are trying to fix it... On the Facebook page I also saw players with the same problem, so do yourself a favour and don't charge the Chic on a beach collection until GI fixes this bug.

Yes... I just checked my inventory. This is a confirmed bug. Bummer.

So, I'm assuming most people probably know this, but I'm going to document it here anyway. If you charge the "Chic on a Beach" collection, you're supposed to get a Silver Sun and Turtle of Luck charm (don't have the game with me, have to check if these are correct when I get home). However, the collection gives you the reward for the Bathing Suits collection instead, which is like a Tesla coil and Copper Clover.

I'm not sure whether it's better to charge it now, or wait until they get around to fixing it, which may be after the event is over. I charged it just to get the next quest.

Disgustingly, I read this AFTER I charged this collection. I guess I need to come check here to see if there are known bugs before charging things from now on..

Has anyone ever gotten anything from GI by complaining? Everyone that has charged this not only didn't get those very valuable items, I'm sure they spent hours and tons of energy jacking around with lifeguards to build the collection, then spent nearly 100 diamonds to buy the stuff to charge it, as I did.

As much as I enjoy this game, this is getting very old. This post probably belongs in the ranting thread and I apologize.

I mailed GI Support about this issue. All I got back was that this is a known issue. No offer to give me the items.

Oh well.

After bantering GI with e-mails and getting frustrated with their evasive answers, I finally got a clear answer.

This is - as we knew - a know bug. It will be fixed in the next update and I will recieve the sun and the turtle. I don't know what the fix will be (other rewards for charging?), and if everyone will get the turtle and the sun, bit if GI keeps their promise, I will get mine.

So if you charged the collection and did not recieve the rewards, contact GI via this form; game-insight. com / gethelp / d /?os=ios
