I've been wondering about this myself... seems I picked a particularly confusing time to start playing. With the easter event, the full moon, the cake, the rooms in the yard, and the regular rooms I can't keep all the quests straight. I can't tell which ones I should actually be working on vs which ones I should be waiting until I get to a higher level.
I made the apparently common mistake of banishing whatever I could banish and charging whatever I could charge without knowing any better waiting for quests. Now I'm worried about doing anything without being specifically told, ha! I used to get glacial swords in almost every room and so I casually banished snow elves to my hearts content... now that I need hundreds of them for actual quests I'm hardly getting any at all! Argh!
In particular now I'm wondering about the gypsies. I healed the general so now I need gold horsehoes to trade with the gosha, but I don't have the golden saddle, (I also didn't have it to trade with the baron for the whipped cream, but luckily I got that from a snatchin-cook) so should I start trading with them or wait until I get associated quests from the main house?
