I'm finding that too. I have traded with some trusted friends and their gifts haven't come through. I seem to remember it happened a few months ago as well and the gifts just suddenly turned up randomly!

I have noticed my gift list re orders itself now. I have not accepted a few things I know I need for an upcoming quest and they are in a different spot each time I go to gifts.

Open your gift box at least once every 12 hours, even if you don't collect the gifts at that time.
I usually go about 18 hours between plays, and since the last update, I get no gifts sent over 12 hours before.
This affects chargers and collection items (which are deducted from the gifters inventory immediately).
I have logged a ticket, was fobbed off with the "it must be a problem with your internet connection" excuse. I replied to that by asking if what they were doing wasn't virtual theft as they were removing gifts from one person and not delivering them - so if I get banned you will all know why!

I have experienced many lost gifts. If you regularly get gifts I would suggest that opening it as often as you can would be even better. If you end up with 100 gifts sitting on the server, it will start loosing the first gift given. The gift box is indiscriminate of course. GI wanted screen shots of the gift receiving process, to get to the bottom of it...
